Drive time from our Haverhill base: roughly 45 minutes to an hour south. These three towns are our closest and highest-volume market, which means they get the most crew weeks in our schedule and the fastest in-season service response in the territory.

Every house here is a different problem. A Brookline brownstone, a Newton Victorian with a turret, and a Wellesley center-entrance Colonial have nothing in common structurally. Some of these houses have brick and limestone facades where nothing should be fastened. Some have slate. Some have original woodwork worth more than the lighting job. So the design starts with a walkthrough where we look at the material and the roofline before we talk about anything else.

Custom-cut runs, all-clip attachment, no holes. Every run measured and cut to your house. Nothing stapled, nailed, or glued - not to brick, not to limestone, not to slate, not to original trim. Where a surface should not carry a fastener, we route to the gutter line or fascia and explain exactly why.

We install for nor'easters, not for a mild afternoon. New England gives us a real four-season calendar, and December through February brings nor'easters, ice storms, and heavy snow north of Boston. Runs get cut to minimize unsupported spans, clip spacing tightens on exposed elevations, and every connection is sealed against driven rain and snow. Commercial-grade product throughout, because retail-box strand does not survive an ice storm.

Install October through early December. Takedown January through March. New England's takedown window is longer than the northern-tier markets because the thaw is later and less predictable - we schedule it as weather allows rather than promising a date we cannot hold.

Storage included. Labeled strands at our facility until next season.

Permanent lighting on a Boston-area historic home

Two arguments, and on this housing stock they are both strong.

Handling. A seasonal install means someone on your roof twice a year, every year - on slate, on original shingle, on a brownstone cornice. A permanent LED channel installed once under the eave ends that cycle. On a historic house, the roof traffic is the risk, not the lights.

Restraint. The channel disappears in daylight. On a Brookline brownstone or a Wellesley Colonial, that is precisely what you want - the architecture remains the thing you look at, and the lighting only appears after dark, following the lines the house already has. Warm white as the standing setting reads as architectural lighting rather than decoration, which on this stock is the whole difference between looking right and looking wrong.
